What you get
One report, as a web page and a PDF you can forward. It covers Claude only, and answers four questions.
- Where you stand
- A summary score, such as "Claude's answers linked to your site in 5 of 30". Each question is asked several times, because Claude's answers vary from one ask to the next, so every result reads like "linked in 2 of 3 answers". Answers that name you without a link are counted separately.
- Question by question
- Whether Claude searched, whether its answers link to your site or name it, and which other sites they link to. Answers that did not search are marked, because they link to nothing.
- Who is cited instead
- The sites Claude's answers link to most often across your questions, and in how many answers each one appears.
- What those pages offer
- For 3 to 5 questions where others are cited and you aren't: how the cited pages open, whether they have an FAQ section or tables, and when they were last updated. Only what we saw on the page.

What it isn't
- A promise that Claude will mention or link to you. Nobody outside Anthropic can promise that. The report shows where you stand and what the linked pages contain.
- A guess about why Claude picked a page. We report what we saw on each page, side by side, and leave the guessing out.
- Personalised results. Claude is asked through its API with the country you choose as the user's location, with no account history. The consumer app can answer differently.
- Anything that needs access to your site, your analytics or your accounts. It uses Claude's answers and the public pages they link to.
Questions
What does "linked" mean?
Claude's answer carries a citation to a page of your site, subdomains included. Pages it saw in its search results but did not cite do not count. A brand named in the text without a link is shown separately as "named without a link".
Which questions should I send?
The ones customers ask before they buy: "how do I...", "what is...", "best ... for ...", "... vs ...". Full questions work better than single words. If you're not sure, tick the box in the form and we'll suggest questions from your homepage. You see the list before we run anything.
Who prepares the report?
We do. locaihost prepares each report: we run the searches with our own search tools, read the cited pages and check every number before it reaches you.
How accurate is it?
It is what Claude answered when we asked, on the date shown in the report. Claude is asked through Anthropic's official API with its web search tool on, so its answers can differ from claude.ai, especially for a signed-in user with history and settings. Claude decides itself whether to search: a definition question often gets an answer with no search, and that answer links to nothing. The report says so. The monthly re-check shows how the answers move.
Why is each question asked several times?
Because Claude's answers change between identical asks: one answer links to your site, the next names a different site. One ask can make a site look better or worse than it is. So we ask each question several times and report the count, such as "linked in 2 of 3 answers".
Does it cover Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity or other assistants?
No. The report covers Claude only. We stopped measuring Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity because collecting those answers would break their terms. It does not check Gemini, Copilot or other tools either.
Can I check a different country?
Yes, pick it in the form. One report covers one country. For two countries, send two orders.
How do I pay, and can I get a refund?
Checkout is by Stripe, and you get a receipt by email. If your report doesn't arrive within 2 business days of payment (or of your OK on suggested questions), write to us and we refund it in full. The monthly re-check can be cancelled any time from the billing portal.
Do I need to get on a call?
No. Everything happens by email at data@locaihost.org, whenever suits you.
